The company organising our GB visit (inspired through sport) have cancelled the visit today due to unforeseen circumstances. We will reschedule the day soon. Some parents have asked which athletes are coming. We don’t know yet but I have asked for a member of the 4×4 relay team who won gold at the Commonwealth Games so fingers crossed!
A warm welcome back to all children and parents. It was lovely to see so many happy, refreshed looking children around the building yesterday. A special warm welcome to all our new Reception children and parents.
Very positive reports emanating from Rock UK this week. The children are having a wonderful time and everyone (apart from Mrs Thingsaker who has an uncomfortable bed!) had a really good night of sleep. The photos show the children taking part in some team building activities.
Thank you to all parents who attended our e-safety workshop. Feedback from the workshop below:
134 people. 120 children, 7 mums, 6 staff, 1 governor.
Prior to the workshop 75% of attendees were worried about their family’s internet safety and social media usage.
Following the workshop 100% of attendees felt more confident about managing their family’s internet safety.
Really useful, especially parental controls.
Great course, very informative.
Very useful and informative.
Very useful – thank you.
Thank you to all who supported our netball charity match. Pictures and match report in the next newsletter. Nice to see we can still teach the children something in all areas of the curriculum!
A big thanks to everyone who took part in Saturday’s event. Here are some pictures from the official photographer.
In the recent Parent Forum, you asked for a Jargon Buster for Education. We provided one! Click on the parent forum and policies pages where you will find a file called ‘Pixies Hill Jargon Buster’!
