Forest School Visit 3

Week Commencing: 4th November

Today was our first visit to the forest school classroom at Box Moor Trust. We went on the minibus up to the Old Barn where we met Jacqui. We put on our hi visibility jackets with our name badges on and then set off on the walk to the forest school classroom. On the way to the classroom Jacqui pointed out different things in the woods for example mushrooms, fungi, bird boxes and different leaves. When we got close to the forest school classroom there was a big tree called the ‘Hello’ tree, we said hello to it and put our named gnomes down. Jacqui then showed us the boundaries of the forest school classroom and introduced us to the fire pit and the fire pit rules. (No fire yet just practicing) We then got to explore the classroom and do some activities – animal zip line, pulleys, animal swings, animal homes, mud kitchen, painting trees with water and lying down looking up at the sky and the trees. It was all a lot of fun and we look forward to the next time we visit.
