We have been making Christmas trees to go on the school tree in the church. we have used paint and glitter to make string lights and then we will cut them out and fold into a cone shape.

As part of English we tried mince pies and gingerbread (The Jolly Christmas Postman) as wrote words to describe them. They were very yummy!

In english, we have begun reading the jolly Christmas postman. We have created our own fairytale board games like the one sent in the book. We added our own rules and decorated it to fit the theme.

In science, we have learnt about the four seasons and focused on autumn. We went outside and collected items to use for our own pictures. We also drew animals and other things that linked to autumn.

We have ordered baby photos chronologically and talked about how we have changed over time. We also enjoyed looking at other peoples photos.

We have begun using beebots and put into practise our learning about directions and giving instructions.

We have learnt how to use maths resources like cubes and tens frames to work out number bonds within 10 in a systematic way. We have also recorded them in number sentences.

We have learnt what parts and wholes are and then applied these to write some addition number sentences.

In geography we have learnt what is meant by human and physical geography and sorted pictures into groups. We also went outside and listed things we could see from our school grounds.

We have been learning about shape poems in English and worked in groups to recite and perform a shape poem.
