School Gate SET supporting SCIENCE in schools

We were delighted to have been joined by Jan, Lisa and Susanne from School Gate SET.  Children were given the challenge of creating a bridge to span 30cm from K’Nex materials.  They were encouraged to ask questions to facilitate their design and consider what features they needed to include, whether for functional or aesthetic reasons.  Cooperation, negotiation and determination were all needed in vast quantities and as you can see, the designs and successes varied.

If you would like to know more about their work, please visit their website – you may know someone who could also help promote Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths in schools.
